It was a whirlwind of a year! From raising the best newborn twins anyone could ask for, deciding to put our home of 16 years on the market, first family vacation, building our dream home, packing/moving with infants (wouldn’t recommend it!), first Halloween, naming ceremony, 1st birthday, and the first Holidays in our new home! So many wonderful things happened during the year that we will treasure for ever.
It’s hard to believe that it has been a year already since we were blessed with our Rainbow Babies! We have had a terrific first year making memories and watching our boys grow. We are truly blessed and couldn’t ask for anything more. (well maybe for time to slow down a little bit!) Jaxen and Owyn have brought joy and happiness back into our lives.
Being parents to twins isn’t always easy, but SO worth it!!

It’s hard to believe that Jaxen and Owyn are 10 months old!! They are army crawling all over the place, sitting up on their own, starting to pull up onto furniture. (we are in trouble!!) Jaxen has one tooth coming in and it doesn’t seem to bother him at all. (which is a good thing) They are enjoying feeding themselves with finger foods. (banana, blueberry pancakes, organic baby puffs, teething cookies) Pups are enjoying it as well!
Time to get caught back up on photos and updates! It has been one crazy busy summer so far. We sold our home of 16 years and we are building our dream home. We move next month! We also took our first family road trip to Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri to see family. The boys met their Bubby (great grandmother), Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins for the first time. The boys are amazing travelers and didn’t mind the long car ride. (movies on the tablet helped some)
Jaxen and Owyn are rolling all over the place, sitting up and Owyn is starting to crawl. They both say momma and dada now! They are loving eating homemade baby food that I make for them. (carrots, sweet potato, butternut squash, apples, pears, chicken, cherries, yellow squash, peaches, banana, avocado, egg) We love watching them learn and discover new things each day.

I noticed I am a few months behind on updating the blog on how the boys are doing. With packing to get our house ready to sell, building our dream home and all while trying to keep up with our very active lil boys. OH and we sold our house before it was even listed!! (now to just finish packing)
It’s hard to believe that today was the boys 4 month check up/shots. Seems like it was just yesterday that we were meeting them for the very first time!
They were big boys for their shots. (mommy didn’t do so well, thank goodness daddy came with!)
Jaxen is 12lbs 12.8oz and 23.5”
Owyn is 13lbs 6.4oz and 24”
And the best news is we are off house arrest!! Since the boys are doing so well and the flu / RSV are slowing down we can finally go out and about as a family!
Jaxen & Owyn are full of smiles and are babbling up a storm, eating 4oz every 3-4 hours, over 12lbs each (will have exact weights at next weeks check up), they are holding up their heads very well all by themselves, starting to like their jungle play mat, and really enjoy Baby Einstein while mommy gets things done.
We are enjoying every second with our lil guys and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!
Our precious miracle babies are growing up so fast. They are both holding their heads up like pros, love smiling and snuggling. I am enjoying being a stay at home mommy getting to see our boys grow and learn!
They are now eating 4oz at every feeding (they LOVE to eat!!) Still waiting for them to sleep longer at night! Jaxen weighs 9lbs 8oz and Owyn weighs 10lbs 8oz..
